Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Bunny and Tater's Milestones

  • ​6/9/21 - Bunny and Tater are settling into their surroundings, and are already enjoying the dog run, and lots of cuddles from the humans. In the coming days, as they are comfortable, we will begin their socialization work.
  • 6/13/21 - Bunny and Tater have been working together on their socialization, and we are working with them on appropriate behaviors in their interactions. They are both having fun playing in the training area! 
  • 6/20/21 - Bunny and Tater began their socialization work with trainer dog Drogo! They had a great time playing with him, and were responsive to social cues from him. We have recently noticed some aggressive behavior towards other dogs from Bunny while in her crate, and are working to correct that.
  • 6/25/21 - Bunny and Tater reached another milestone, as they were graduated to enter the Pack! They did wonderfully with the other dogs, and their social skills continue to grow.
  • 7/1/21 - Bunny and Tater continue to interact well with other dogs. We are still observing some aggressive barking and growling at other dogs while in their crates from Bunny, and have also begun to see her aggression towards Tater.
  • 7/7/21 - Bunny's aggression/dominance has displayed itself in random attacks on Tater, as well as redirection onto our staff. We are working to correct these behaviors, and reinforce impulse control.
  • 7/14/21 - Bunny's aggression towards Tater has decreased greatly, and she is displaying promising responses to correction. They had a great play session today, and no incidents. Bunny is still barking at other dogs while in their crates, particularly when there is food involved, so we are working to curb this resource guarding behavior.
