Coco  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Coco's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 6/1 - The girls are settling in! Stella seems to be fully comfortably now and even opened up to engage in play with me this morning. We had a blast with me trying to touch her paws and her running around me, play bowing and gently nosing my hands. I'm completely in love with her! Coco is taking a bit longer to show all the signs of settling in. She's still nervous to go potty at times and is picking at her food throughout the day. The one area that she hasn't skipped a beat has been in getting love and affection from Mark and myself. She's such a sweet girl! It hasn't been overbearing either. Very sweet and appropriate in her attention seeking thus far. But, that could change as she gets more comfortable. Usually, training concerns will start showing more and more as the pups get more comfortable with the new environment. All in all, they are doing well and are completely adored!
  • 6/3 - As Coco gets more comfortable with everyone, she's trying to demand a bit more attention and has even jumped up into laps a few times. This is giving us the opportunity to work "Off" and general manners for space and attention.
  • 6/4 - Stella and Coco made a new friend and pack mate today. Coco, likely for fear of being bowled over, wasn't as active in the romp and play, but accepted the new guy without any issues. She's been quiet as a church mouse and learning "off." We are also working on getting her to sit to get the reward of praise and attention, when she is seeking it.
  • 6/5 - Coco continues to work on boundaries and listening skills with her trainers. She was pretty stubborn about sitting out in the run today (although does an excellent job with it at feeding time), but was showing dramatic improvement with responding to "Off".
  • 6/8 - Coco had a lovely walk with Stella today. She does a slight amount of pulling in her harness, but it's pretty negligible overall. She did a fantastic job of following directions during her walk, even with distractions.
  • 6/9 - Coco worked on listening to commands in the pack today, obeying the "off" command when trying to stand and paw at a trainer for attention and sitting for attention instead. She put in some great work today!
  • 6/10 - Coco got out on a walk with Stella today and did an excellent job of listening and maintaining appropriate boundaries!
