Harrison  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Harrison's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 9/6 - Harrison has been pretty nervous the past couple of days.
  • 9/8 - Harrison has adjusted well to the new environment. He's already out running with the big dogs in the pack!
  • 9/11 - Harrison has finally relaxed enough to start his barking and Mark has had the opportunity to start working him on his barking in the office and along the fence-line.
  • 9/13 - Harrison has had good interactions with the pack and continues to improve daily, after a few minor corrections from Mark and some of the pack in regard to being overly bossy. He's now appropriately approaching dogs to play and giving excellent corrections to other dogs overbearing in play.
  • 9/17 - Harrison worked obedience in the pack today for the challenge of the extra distraction. He did very well and sat on every command!
  • 9/20 - Harrison had a good pack walk with buddy Eldon today. He did pretty well with his heel, which is always more challenging with another dog involved. He was a little stubborn with his sit at first, which again is extra challenging with another packmate around. He did a bit of barking at people or dogs initially and after a couple of corrections, completely ignored them. Once he realized who was leading the walk, he kept looking up and checking in for approval. He was the first to listen and react appropriately to the sit command up return!
  • 9/24 - Harrison's responsiveness to the "Quiet" command has improved significantly over the course of his stay. His initial impulse to bark at times continues however. It's a definite work in progress, largely due to his vocal breed. Most importantly is his willingness to hear and respond to the command.
