Lacey May and Louie  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Lacey May and Louie's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 4/2/21 - Lacey and Louie are still warming up to everyone. So far, we’ve been working on their separation anxiety - especially for Louie, because he barks aggressively at anyone who tries to touch Lacey.
  • 4/9/21 - Louie’s been super sweet since he’s warmed up to everyone but Lacey's definitely taking her time. She’s not quite confident enough in herself to completely separate herself from Louie, but Louie seems to feel fine when they’re separated. His walks are going well so far but he is a bit all over the place when walking. So far they’ve both made some pretty good progress.
  • 4/14/21 - Lacey made huge progress this weekend and so far this week. She’s been getting out on walks without her brother there, and she’s been doing very well. Her confidence seems to be a lot higher and she’s started coming out of the crate on her own, rather than hiding in the corner. She definitely seems to be a bit more cautious of men but we're working through that, and she’s still showing a lot of good progress. Louie has been gaining a lot of confidence the past few days and has been enjoying his walks. He’s been a lot friendlier recently as well, and sometimes even wants to play!
  • 4/18/21 - We’ve definitely seen some huge progress with Lacey recently. She’s totally come out of her shell with some people, but is still unsure of others. She’s doing great on all her walks and has built up her confidence enough to go places without Louie. We’re super proud of Louie for starting to open up around others because he’s really starting to show a much sweeter side. Just like Lacey, Louie trusts some people but is still learning to trust others. He’s also doing super great on his walks and he really doesn’t need very many corrections at all. Our main focus is getting him to trust everyone and allow others to handle him without a negative reaction.
  • 4/21/21 - We are very proud of Louie and Lacey because they’ve finally started playing together outside. They’ve really gotten a lot more comfortable compared to when they first arrived. They are both doing amazing on their walks, and are working on their obedience skills. They crossed a major milestone this week, and were able to successfully hang out with other members of the pack!
  • 4/25/21 - Louie and Lacey are working out in the run with the other dogs on socialization. Lacey seems to be more on edge than Louie, but it’s a good sign that they weren’t clinging to each other and ganging up. Louie was actually approaching other dogs a lot, and he didn’t seem to be as anxious as Lacey.
  • 4/30/21 - Lacey and Louie are doing really well on their walks. Louie is a bit more attentive when we work on obedience but they’re both doing great.
  • 5/5/21 - Lacey and Louie have been going out to the run with Walle for the past few days and so far they’ve all done super well. Both Lacey and Louie have gone up to Walle on their own and said hi. They’ve also been more comfortable playing and wrestling lately.
  • 5/9/21 -Louie and Lacey have been doing slowly improving with their socialization and are going to start interacting with more dogs soon. They’ve also been doing amazing on their walks and are always looking forward to it.
