Newt - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Newt's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 3/4/21 - Newt has done a great job settling in and getting to know his pack mates! He's been very responsive to his obedience training - especially learning not to jump on people.
  • 3/5/21 - Newt had tons of fun today playing with Drogo for the first time in the dog run. He hasn’t been getting over excited and seems to play appropriately with the occasional correction. He’s also improved a lot on his pulling problem while on the leash and will walk right beside you with no pulling whatsoever.
  • 3/6/21 - Newt is having a wonderful time playing with Drogo today, while working on more appropriate play energy manners. He and Drogo have become fast friends.
  • 3/14/21 - Newt's really been showing a lot of progress recently, especially with his obedience. His biggest issue that we’ve been working on is his listening skills, not only during one on one work time but during playtime with other dogs as well. He hasn’t been giving any kind of trouble while on walks and never reacts to other dogs at this point. His social skills have gotten a lot better and he’s really begun to grasp how to properly play and communicate with the other dogs.
  • 3/16/21 - Newt is still doing really well on his walks, and hasn’t been showing any reactions towards other dogs, even when they approach him. We’re focusing a lot on recall right now. Altogether, he’s been doing amazing, and his next step will be to meet the rest of the dogs down in the dog run.
  • 3/19/21 - Newt has been focusing a lot on obedience this weeks and has shown so much improvement, especially in his listening skills. He’s very motivated to keep learning and is always ready to show you what tricks he can do. He’s still doing really great on his walks and is going to continue socializing with the other dogs here.
  • 3/24/21 - Newt is still doing amazing on his walks, and his obedience is looking great. He’s getting along with other dogs and isn’t playing too rough.
  • 3/27/21 - Newt's really been doing a great job all around. His walks go great every time, and he does amazing on his obedience and manners.

  • 3/20/22 - Newt has settled in, and has begun working on his socialization and leash walking skills. He is highly motivated by play, so we are implementing some play-based impulse-control training. He loves exploring the training area and going on his training walks! We have observed his reactivity on leash, and are working to correct that behavior. Great work, Newt!
