Oreo  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Oreo's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • Oreo is adjusting well to the new environment and starting to have a good time in the pack. He was a bit over the top at first, trying to be too assertive and bossy, but he is finding his way now. He sure is willful, but he is adorable. His tummy is better, but still a wee upset. It looks like it is improving.
  • Oreo is making progress in his training. He is adorable, and quite smart. He has been gaining more confidence, modeling off of the other dogs around him, and it has been really endearing to watch. He is still a stubborn little guy at moments, but I feel like he has made some breakthroughs. Kind of doesn't want to be the odd guy out.
  • Oreo hasn't displayed any more resource guarding. He has been very well behaved. He does need a sanitary cut for his bottom, so make sure to do that at your groomers. He has had some tangled hairs at his bottom because of the upset tummy. He doesn't like having me get down there to try to help him keep it clean, but the sweetheart has stopped trying to put teeth on me and has trusted me more, though he won't let me stay down there long at all. As I'm not a groomer, he needs that professionally taken care of. I would continue to consult with your vet about any medical needs he has with his teeth. He hasn't really been aggressive on a walk. Excited at times, but not crazy and he quickly stops with a stern warning and any corrections needed to reinforce. Overall he has had a very good stay, and is now actively seeking interactions and play with dogs, which is a big step in progress for his overall social skills and confidence. He's learning he doesn't have to be worried.
  • Oreo had another bout of upset tummy yesterday and last night. Had to bathe him again to try to keep his rear clean. He hasn't skipped a beat with regards to energy and is otherwise fine.
  • Oreo had a stellar walk today and handled various strangers and a lab that charged at him without any issues!
