  • ​2/24/22 - Scout is settling in to her new surroundings, and is beginning to warm up to the trainers. She was a bit nervous at first, but today started opening up and engaging us in play! Great start, Scout!
  • 3/2/22 - Scout is continuing to warm up to us, and we have begun working with her on refining her obedience through play. This will build her confidence, as well as increase her rapport with us. She loves the garden hose! Way to go, Scout!
  • 3/7/22 - Scout is working on her leash walking skills, and is doing a wonderful job! She is very responsive to correction and instruction on leash. She is also beginning to show a more relaxed response to new people and dogs in her space, and is even beginning to show curiosity. This is great progress!
  • 3/8/22 - Scout crossed a milestone today, having a successful socialization session with trainer dog Drogo! She was initially unsure, which manifested as some reactivity, but was very responsive to correction and quickly relaxed. She even engaged Drogo in play! She can be a little assertive in her play style (very typical of German Shepherds), but is easily corrected, and we are confident that with continued practice she will improve on her ability to read social cues. Great job making a new friend, Scout!
