Tillie  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Tillie's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 12/9/21 - Tillie is settling in to her new surroundings, and is already eating and taking her medicine like a champ! She went out on her first training walk yesterday, and did a wonderful job, even becoming relaxed and enjoying the walk once she got her bearings. She is still a bit nervous, so we are giving her some time before we start introductions with the other dogs. She is also doing a bit of reactive barking in her crate, and we are working on the "quiet" command.
  • 12/16/21 - Tillie is doing great! She was one of the few pups who actually loves the rain, and had a wonderful time running around in it, play-bowing and bonding with the training team. She is now excited for her walks, and is doing very well on leash. She was even approached by a barking dog on our walk, and handled the reaction very well. A bystander even commented on how well-behaved she was! We're still working on the "quiet" command, but she's getting it! She's eating like a champ, and taking her medicine regularly. (No Trazodone needed, so far!) Great work, Tillie!
  • 12/20/21 - Tillie had a major breakthrough this weekend, getting out with the pack to work on her socialization skills. She was a little uncertain of being around the other dogs, but engaged in play and had a great time making new friends. We are so proud of her progress!
  • 12/27/21 - Tillie is having a great time in the snow, and enjoying her time with her pack mates. We are still seeing some demand-barking and resource guarding behavior while in her crate, and are correcting these behaviors as they present. We are also continuing to work on her leash walking, and are seeing significant improvement in her pulling and reactivity.
  • 1/3/22 - Tillie is working on her obedience skills, and we are working on her resource guarding at the same time, using play techniques. When she began, she would not relinquish any toys to us, and would only engage in keep-away. She is now freely dropping toys on command, and is having a great time with the games! Her sweet, goofy personality is emerging more every day as her confidence increases, and we are so proud of her progress! We are seeing some more reactive behaviors surface on her walks, and are working to resolve those through daily exposure and consistent correction and instruction.
  • 1/9/22 - Tillie is coming along wonderfully with her socialization skills! She is doing very well in her play sessions with Drogo, and is getting better at responding to Drogo's feedback and social cues. Her confidence is increasing with each session, and we are so proud of her progress. She is also showing significant improvement with her leash reactivity. She is still experiencing reactions, but they are greatly reduced, and her responsiveness to correction is improving. Way to go, Tillie!

  • 2/7/22 - Tillie is back in the pack, and already making new dog friends! She can be a bit assertive in her play style, and we are working with her on refining her response to the other dogs' cues. She is doing a great job on her training walks, and we are working with her on building her confidence when she is confronted with triggers. Great work, Tillie!
  • 2/14/22 - Tillie's reactivity on walks continues to improve, and her confidence is increasing steadily. She is building her social skills with the Pack, and even made a new best friend - lab dog Obi! She can be a little rambunctious in her play style, but is steadily learning to read the other dogs' cues. Way to go, Tillie!
