Wrigley and Fenway  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Wrigley and Fenway's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 7/12 - Wrigley is out in the full pack and interacting well with fellow pups!
  • 7/16 - Wrigley is continuing to do well out with the full pack, engaging in play. He's been doing really well with basic obedience, even with pack distractions, he's so eager to please. He wants to jump up a lot for attention, so we've been working "off" pretty regularly and he's starting to hop off now as the command is given. Great progress there. Today has been the first day that he hasn't been overly vocal in the office. Huge progress there!
  • 7/19 - Wrigley is doing an excellent job playing with dogs of all sizes and learning social cues. He's doing much better with "Off". He will still put paws up but hops right down with the command. However, he hasn't put that together when trying to crawl into your lap. We'll continue to try and hammer that command home. He's doing a great job still with his basic obedience, better than some older pack members even. We're working on trying to get him to hold his "Stay" for longer though, as he's easily distracted. Total puppy!
  • 7/23 - Wrigley continues to improve with his vocalizations and basic obedience skills. He is rocking it with his socialization skills!
  • 7/29 - Wrigley had a great walk today. He pulled a bit, but responded well to working with "heel." He's a very curious boy, so we also worked "Let's Go" and "Leave-It". He did well. His basic obedience work today was great as he continued to practice Sit/Stay and Down/Stay. His socialization skills are going extremely well. He is eager to play with those who want to play but is aware of the cues being given from pups that don't want to. Very smart boy!
  • 7/30 - Wrigley had a great walk with his buddy Carson. He pulled much less, although still did a bit of pulling. He was extremely stubborn with his basic obedience skills while out on his walk. This often pops up with having the distractions of another dog around. It's an extra challenge on listening and obeying. He's doing extremely well with his socialization skills in the pack.
  • 8/5 - Wrigley is doing well with his obedience work. He's incredibly stubborn, which is typical for his age and breed, but he proves repeatedly that he absolutely knows the commands and what you are expecting from him, he just tends to be frequently selective about his timing on following directions. He is very treat motivated, which is a great tool in getting him to follow commands at the pace you would like to see. He's incredibly smart.
  • 3/19/21 - Fenway and Wrigley are warming up to everything well. We’re working on building a good foundation for Fenway's obedience and Wrigley is starting off with lots of walks and socialization.
  • 3/23/21 - Fenway and Wrigley have been doing great with everything so far. Wrigley’s walks are going very well, and he hasn’t had any reactions towards other dogs so far, other than continuously whining for most of the time. Fenway has been having accidents in her crate every now and then, but we’ve been working to get her to wait rather than go whenever she wants to. They both worked on their obedience together, and Wrigley showed Fenway how it’s done. They’re both very smart and eager to learn.
  • 3/27/21 - Wrigley started off our walks feeling pretty nervous and insecure without having Fenway around, but he learned pretty fast how capable he is on his own. We moved Fenway's crate away from Wrigley's so that they can learn to be a little less dependent on each other. At first they were both pretty upset that they weren’t right next to each other, but now they’re doing just fine. Fenway's working really hard on her foundation  skills and is showing improvement every day. She’s been doing really good on her walks too and needs little to no corrections.
  • 3/31/21 - Wrigley's been working on building up his confidence away from his sister and he’s been doing great so far. He doesn’t whine while we’re on our walks and he doesn’t cry for her when their crates are separated anymore. Fenway’s really improved on her walks recently and rarely needs to be corrected anymore. She’s working hard on her obedience too and today she learned the command “off”.

  • 10/24/21 - Fenway is back in the pack, and having a great time making friends! She is showing excellent responsiveness to social cues, and has quickly become a pack favorite. We are working with her on obedience skills, especially "Leave It," and recall. Also, she is still having accidents in her crate, and we are working to correct this as well.
