Ace & Penny  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Ace & Penny's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 3/7/22 - Ace is settling in to his new surroundings, and is already warming up to us and eating like a champ! He is having a great time exploring the training area, and even got out for his first training walk off-premises. We did observe his leash reactivity, and will work to correct this behavior in the coming weeks. He did very well on the training collar, and showed good responsiveness to  instruction and correction when triggered. He is also displaying some demand barking while in his crate (barking when other dogs are going out, or being fed, etc), and we are working with him to correct this as well. He is already showing us his sweet, friendly disposition and eagerness to please. Off to a great start, Ace!
  • 3/14/22 - Ace crossed a major milestone today, having his first successful socialization session with trainer dog Drogo! He was a bit unsure at first, but quickly opened up and engaged Drogo in play. He can be a little assertive with his play style, but is very responsive to correction. He had a wonderful time! Way to go, Ace

  • 3/30/23 - Penny is starting to relax and having fun now! Ace is being a good big brother, showing her the ropes!
  • 4/3/23 - Ace was awesome today! Really playful in the run but he was relaxed during his walk and looked to our employee Monique for guidance and direction.
  • 4/3/23 - Penny also did really well today! We worked on eye contact & engagement in the run and Monique used a slip lead to get her used to leash pressure in order to work on her on walking on a leash. She was super receptive! Way to go, Penny & Ace!
  • 4/8/23 - Ace is such a sweetheart, easy to walk and listens really well despite being on alert often. He had a small reaction wanting to pull towards another dog on our walk, however the dog was pulling and lunging first and he was easy to redirect. (Seems like he and Penny feed off of each others anxiousness - working on teaching them to self sooth separately at home would probably help them be calmer)
  • 4/8/23 - Penny is always so fun to work with. She has a challenging time settling down on her own but she is so willing to work on her obedience. Which is improving really well, along with her leash walking. She is heeling nicely and is coming in and out of her crate without any problem too.
