Alyeska  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Alyeska's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 6/24 - Alyeska is doing well with adjusting to the new environment and has already gotten out with the full pack, working her socialization skills!
  • 6/25 - Alyeska had a dog too much in her face today and she gave warning by showing a bit of teeth. Good to give warning, but we want to work on relaxing her boundaries. After that initial incident, she had no issue with the other dogs saying hi to her today, but mostly kept to herself and didn't want to engage.
  • 6/26 - Alyeska was out in the full pack with 9 other dogs today and did amazingly well! She had zero issues, allowing others to smell her and be in her space (and returning the favor in kind). She even made buddies with one of the more playful pack members and started trying to figure out how to play with him! She also enjoyed some time in the kiddie pool!
  • 6/28 - Another excellent day of socialization! Not much play engagement for Alyeska today, but she did spend more time in the bigger mix of dogs instead of hanging at the edges. She's definitely more comfortable with the pack!
  • 7/1 - Alyeska continues to do well in the pack. She will engage in short bursts of play with a couple of the dogs, but is quickly overwhelmed by the intensity of play. She continues to work on building confidence.
  • 7/5 - Alyeska wasn't really interested in playing today, but she is doing incredibly well now with allowing others to play around her. She gets bumped into frequently and just calmly relocates herself instead of getting upset. She's generally just happy to stand off to the side and observe the interactions.
  • 7/9 - Mark is now referring to Alyeska as the "Zen" dog. She is just happy to stand back and watch everyone play and sometimes to even stand in the middle, letting everyone bump into her without any issues. It's pretty cute. She just seems happy wherever she goes!
  • 7/12 - Alyeska is amazing and so smart. No aggression witnessed in the last half of her stay. She's an amazing girl and has done incredibly well adjusting to new dynamics, new dogs and new situations. Totally our ZEN girl!
