Gypsy and Tilly - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Gypsy and Tilly's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 8/10 - The girls are already out in the pack. They are a little timid still and aren't very interested in playing, but otherwise doing a great job with their socialization time and getting accustomed to their bunkmates.
  • 8/12 - The girls got to take some walks to day and work on their leash manners. They both did a bit of pulling, but showed improvement throughout the walk. They also worked some basic obedience in the park, with distractions. Tilly did an excellent job with Sit and Down, although Stay was more of a struggle. Gypsy was a little more stubborn with all of the above.
  • 8/14 - The pack has grown and the girls are working on their socialization skills. Gypsy is starting to show some interest in interacting, but Tilly is still not too into the idea. The girls are still a little nervous in the pack and not going to the bathroom with the group, leading to occasional accidents in the office. They both are doing an excellent job working "Sit" but still have work to do on the other obedience skills.
  • 8/18 - The girls are doing much better in the pack and showing more comfort. Gypsy has played a couple of times with Dean and Tilly has shown interest in Zeus, but hasn't quite played yet. Gypsy is still more stubborn in her obedience work than Tilly, but is making progress.
  • 8/21 - Tilly opened up and began to play with a couple of pack mates today! Now that she is more comfortable, she's showing a bit more selective listening with her obedience as well. We'll continue to work obedience with and without distractions!
  • 8/24 - Tilly has really blossomed in her play and socialization and now wants to tear around with every dog she can! Super cute!
  • 8/25 - The girls had excellent walks today. They are still pulling slightly, but are much improved. Tilly got a bit overexcited at another dog in passing, nothing aggressive, but she did receive a correction for not listening when told to "Leave-It", as she was wildly trying to say hello at the end of her leash. She was much more composed afterwards.
  • 8/26 - Still some slight pulling, but the girls' walks improve constantly. They are also showing improvement with sitting on command, although can still be stubborn about it occasionally. Stay and down still needs lots of work.
  • 8/28 - Tilly had an excellent walk today. She held a beautiful heel, hardly needing reminding. She showed some interest in other dogs and wanted to say hi to them, but would break focus on hearing "Leave-It." Much improved! Gypsy had a wonderful walk as well. She held a great heel and was much less distracted overall during her walk.
  • 8/31 - The girls have hit a bit of a wall and have gotten very stubborn with their work, giving Mark a bit more attitude and in Tilly's case, going to the bathroom in the office again, instead of outside.
  • 9/4 - The girls are still struggling a bit with their attitudes and stubbornness. Mark doesn't quite have them where he would like them to be with their training, largely due to this last week of sudden obstinate behavior. They are doing an excellent job in the pack and with their socialization skills, however. Gypsy is no longer jumping, but Tilly will try at times. She does pay great attention to a verbal command to stop and a finger wag though.
  • 9/8 - The girls had some excellent progress with their listening skills and obedience work! See photos and videos!
  • 9/11 - The girls have really blossomed in their socialization skills and have made a lot of improvement with their obedience work as well. They can still be a bit stubborn at times, but know the serious voice and become more responsive if they hear that. They know what is being asked of them.
  • 9/14 - The girls have welcomed some new members into the pack. They are still flippant at times, in the group setting, with their listening skills. But once you get the serious voice going, they are more apt to pay attention.
  • 9/16 - Gypsy and Tilly got some good obedience work in with Mark and did very well. Tilly still likes to break her stay with Mark more than Jen, but is showing improvement.
  • 9/18 - Gypsy and Tilly continue to do well with their pack socialization work and listening while distracted in a group setting!
