Hagrid's - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Hagrid's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 5/18/23 - Hagrid is enjoying some ball time. He is not sure about the whole kiddie pool thing though.
  • 5/22/23 - Hagrid has a lot of nervous energy but is willing to work with me and engage. We are working on slowing and calming him down in general. He did well on a walk and passed by two dogs behind fences and other distractions without any problems. We are practicing his heeling and checking in with me for guidance.
  • 5/27/23 - Hagrid did quite well today, working with Drogo in our socialization session, despite his discomfort and nervousness. Only minor corrections and warnings were needed to prevent aggressive behavior.
  • 5/31/23 - Had a nice long walk with Hagrid. We saw two dogs and he had no reaction. I've been rewarding him with a squeaky tennis ball after he passes by because it's such a high value toy for him and he's been loving it! With that being said, I've been working on him sitting and making eye contact when playing fetch in the run, to replace his demand barking.
  • 6/9/23 - Another very good day with leash behavior on the walk, and calmness around Drogo. No reactions while on our walk regardless of the distractions around. Also saw a dramatic decrease in his demand barking today while playing fetch, he has a clearer understanding of what to do when he wants the ball thrown/wants to play. I look forward to working with him ever time I come in.
