Jessie and Mabel  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Jessie and Mabel's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 12/23 - Jesse and Mabel getting more comfortable in the dog run and have started playing.
  • 12/26 - Jessie and Mabel are doing well and adjusting accordingly to the new environment, dogs and people. They are having a blast out in the run together!
  • 12/31 - Mabel got out on a walk with Drogo and crushed it! It was a really good walk. Mabel followed directions very well and showed no aggression towards Drogo. Excellent work!
  • 1/2 - Jessie and Mabel got out on leash and collar with Rodeo and Drogo. It was a huge, monumental moment for them. They were able to sit next to the boys and sniff them with proper greetings without any aggression indications!
  • 1/9 - Another BIG moment for the sisters! For the first time we were able to drop the girl's leads and let them drag them around the run with Rodeo and Drogo! Progress has been slow, but positive, and this is a big step in the right direction.
  • 1/14 - Today was a BIG day for the girls! We were able to let them totally off the leash with Drogo. They sat with each other around Matt, sniffed each other and did very well. Twice they looked like they might try something, but as soon as I snapped my fingers and warned them they backed off and reset. VERY good day.
  • 1/19 - HUGE day today on their journey. Both girls got out with the entire pack for the first time. We started with Mabel first and introduced her to everyone on leash and under control. She was nervous, but appropriate, allowing everyone to come up and sniff her and returning in kind. After several minutes of walking around the run, she was able to come off leash and did so successfully. We allowed her to spend some time wandering around and socializing and after a time, we brought Jessie out and took her through the same process. As Mark has observed, Jessie is the one who is more nervous and had to be watched more closely and allowed more time to adapt. She curled her lips once at another dog who was spent too long smelling her and attempted to put a paw on her back to engage in play. With a quick "shush" warning from Mark, she stopped and disengaged and was ok. Mabel did not come to her rescue and Jessie didn't feel the need to come to Mabel's rescue at any time today. Other dogs played with each other, chase, etc. and neither girl felt the need to go on the offense in these situations. Huge, epic breakthrough's today!
  • 1/25 - Jessie and Mabel got to work with their people today and had a great session!
  • 1/27 - The girls have been doing well going out and socializing with the pack consistently now. We even got to see Jessie start to play a little with Drogo. When Jessie was on a walk she had to pass a small yapping dog that would lunge at her but she didn’t pay any attention to it and kept walking.
