Loki Acosta  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Loki Acosta's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 2/9 - Big breakthrough today with Loki in his fear and uncertainty of location. He finally engaged in play and was having a blast chasing the water from the garden hose. After playing with the hose, he opened up and relaxed. Then, we were able to engage him with some fetch and by the end of that, he was running up to Mark with the ball, off leash, for tons of hugs, love and praise, no fear or aggression, just pure love and joy! We will continue to build on this momentum to enable him to be more comfortable with other people and dogs!
  • 2/10 - Loki has shown such a huge improvement so far this week. He wasn’t so sure at first but eventually he got the hang of it and pretty soon he was running around the run playing with us. It was nice to hear him use his voice around us finally.
  • 2/12 - It’s safe to say that Loki’s taken some pretty big steps this past week. He’s definitely come out of his shell with us and has started playing with other dogs. It's so exciting to see his personality blossom!
  • 2/16 - Loki has been doing a bit of pulling on leash and biting the leash during walks, so we are working that. Overall, he's been doing well, however. He has also been working on going in and out of his crate when told and on waiting patiently at the door to be let outside.
  • 2/19 - Mark spoke on the phone with Tia to give latest updates.
  • 2/23 - Loki did amazingly well on his walk today. His manners have gotten a lot better and he doesn’t pull as much. He did really well even when we passed kids and other dogs.
  • 2/26 - Loki has been working hard on his leash manners. His heeling is improving with much less pulling.
  • 3/4 - Loki has really warmed up and LOVES to play chase with the Jolly Ball...we chase him while he carries the Jolly Ball, to be precise. Great fun is had by all! He also enjoys his calming walks after playtime. Loki was able to meet Drogo through the fence, and did a great job keeping calm, and even ignoring Drogo for the most part!
  • 3/5 - Loki has done a phenomenal job learning how to be happy and make friends! Sometimes still cautious, with love and encouragement and solid leadership he learns quickly that all is well and he is safe. WE LOVE LOKI!
