Molly  - Training Photos, Videos and Updates

Pawsitive Notes - Tracking Molly's Milestones

Got a Question?

  • 10/18/21 - Molly is settling in, and getting acclimated to her new surroundings. Today, she crossed a major milestone, having a successful introduction with trainer dogs Drogo and Jack! We started with her on leash, and as she showed readiness cues, moved her to off leash. She even engaged Jack in play! On walks, we are seeing her leash reactivity, and are working to correct that behavior.
  • 10/25/21 - Molly continues to build her confidence with other dogs, and is initiating play more! She is also becoming very excited for her walks. Her leash reactivity is still high, but we are consistently working with her on this, and she is showing responsiveness to correction.
  • 11/1/21 - Molly is working hard on her leash walking skills! She is still showing some reactions to other dogs, but her response to instruction and correction is increasing, and she is gaining more and more confidence on-leash.
  • 11/7/21 - Molly's social skills continue to build! She is now acclimating into a larger pack, making friends with LOTP alums Georgie and Remi! She is also now showing active interest in the other dogs, approaching their crates and engaging them in greetings.
  • 11/9/21 - Molly had her best training walk yet! She is still showing some reactivity on leash, but is responding almost immediately to verbal corrections. She is vocal when seeing other dogs approach (talking, whining, "singing"), but is doing much better managing her reactions with reassurance. She does tend to want to go behind or between the handler's legs when this occurs, so proper leash handling is essential to reinforce "heel" and good walking habits. We will continue to work on the walk with her in the coming days, and are very proud of her progress!
