Moose's Lost Baggage
Mark started working with
our pit-mix Moose just after we adopted him in June 2010. Moose was a great dog
with a lot of baggage and behavioral issues he needed to get worked out. My
husband and I had no prior dog experience and we were in for quite a surprise
with the 80 pound addition to our family! Moose was pulling us around on walks,
was VERY dog reactive on a leash and really didn't have any dog social skills.
We started working with Mark in private one-on-one training sessions in our
home then moved on to Pack Therapy sessions.
We have seen an incredible change in Moose and in ourselves. We are no longer being pulling along for a walk, Moose's dog reactivity is now manageable (constantly getting better) and we have become leaders for him. I really have enjoyed Moose's participation in pack therapy, it's a slow process but worth the time. I didn't really notice the difference it had made in him until we started introducing him to new dogs in small social settings, he was learning dog social skills and communication!
You really have to know Moose to understand what a big step this is for him. We are very grateful for Mark's continuous encouragement to us and for having faith in our big Moose!
Thanks!
