  • ​6/6/21 - Ranger is settling in to his new surroundings, and has already made friends with trainer dog Drogo! We are working on his socialization skills. He is also having a great time splashing in the kiddie pool, and loves the hose!
  • 6/12/21 - Ranger is working on his socialization skills, and is interacting well with the Pack! We are also working to reinforce his obedience skills.
  • 6/15/21 - Ranger is building very solid socialization skills, and we are now working on his leash walking and obedience skills. He is also continuing to enjoy the hose, and playing with the toys in the play area!
  • 6/20/21 - Ranger has become more comfortable with his neck and collar being handled, as we have slowly worked to desensitize him in this area. Today he went on his first walk off of the premises! He did great with the training collar. We observed some aggressive reactions towards humans on the walk, and are working to correct that behavior.
  • 6/25/21 - Ranger continues to do well with his social skills, and today was introduced to a few more pack members!
  • 6/30/21 - Ranger's social skills continue to blossom, and he even has a new best friend - Ernie! Ranger freely shared his favorite thing with Ernie (the hose) and is displaying no resource guarding behaviors at all. We are continuing to work on his leash reactivity with the training collar indoors due to the heat wave.
  • 7/3/21 - Ranger is working hard on his leash walking skills. He is displaying reactions to both animals and humans, and also redirects onto the leash and handler. We are working to correct this.
  • 7/7/21 - Ranger is slowly but surely improving on his leash walking, and is now excited to go on walks!  He is still showing some reactivity and redirection, but is learning to be responsive to instruction. This will need continued reinforcement going forward. We continue to socialize him daily, and he has become a well-established pack member!
